Hi! It’s been awfully quiet around here lately. It looks like my last post was over a year ago. Oops. But alas, it feels like the time to write is here, so here I am. Ready to start over in the blogosphere. 🙂
So, today I did a thing. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I’ve put it off long enough and today felt like the right day for it. It has been in the back of my mind for so long. Do you ever have that? When you think of something you want, but it gets buried by the things you feel you have to do, that the things you want to do just fade away? Please tell me I’m not alone here!

Working in Bartow has its benefits. Over the past few months, a bunch of new lunch spots have opened up in downtown Bartow making lunch time more fun for this foodie. While these new spots mostly offer the same type of lunch, i.e., salads, sandwiches and soups, their flavors and decor are completely different.

Last night was a memorable evening. Not just because I got to go out with my handsome husband, but also because we were invited to a grand opening in Lakeland. Hard work pays off. It really is as simple as that. Having a vision, setting a goal and working through obstacles to see a final product. That’s how I would describe Robyn and Jarrid from the poor porker: visionary hard workers.

I can’t think of a better way to start 2015 than with a race in mind. Through my relationship with the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I was chosen to be a race ambassador for the Sarasota Half Marathon. And I could not be happier. The opportunity to run a beautiful course with a bunch of friends is something I will cherish forever. But enough about me, let’s see why this is a race you should do too!

This was my first visit to Adventure Island in Tampa. Yep, the last time I went to a water park was close to five years ago when we went to Aquatica for my niece’s birthday. The girls were so young, and it was overwhelming to say the least having two toddlers running in opposite directions. So I figured now that they were older, I would be able to relax a little and enjoy.
